Univerza v Luksemburgu je objavila mednarodni razpis za opravljanje dela ESPON kontaktne točke za Luksemburg.

Starting in 2008, the University of Luxembourg, Research Unit IPSE ( Identités. Politiques, Sociétés, Espaces ), will be hosting Luxembourg’s Contact Point of the ESPON program dealing with spatial development research in Europe ( www.espon.eu ). The position will be integrated into the research center in geography and spatial planning ( Laboratoire de Géographie et Aménagement du Territoire ) and will work in coordination with the Ministère de l’Intérieur et de l’Aménagement du Territoire du Luxembourg, which is the responsible authority for the implementation of the ESPON Programme in Luxembourg.
The ESPON Contact Point (ECP) will act as an interface between the ESPON 2013 programme and the local and regional level actors, planning agencies as well as research centers in Luxembourg.


The University of Luxembourg is looking for a

The position co-financed by the Ministère de l’Intérieur et de l’Aménagement du Territoire du Luxembourg is linked to the implementation to the implementation of the ESPON 2013 in the Structural Funds period 2007-2013.
Tasks:
a) Be the main contact partner for national actors with regards to European spatial development issues;
b) Assisting the national actors interested in initiating or participating in projects financed by the ESPON Programme;
c) Targeted diffusion and exchange of information, knowledge and experiences between the ESPON network and national actors (organisation of conferences and round tables, launch of a newsletter, maintenance of the national ESPON website, …); participation in related European events and conferences ;
d) Exchange and concertation with Contact Points in other European countries ;
e) Appropriate presentation of Luxembourg and its regions in the reports edited by the ESPON programme ;
f) Active exchange and co-operation with the future Cellule nationale d’Information sur la Politique Urbaine (CIPU) hosted by the University of Luxembourg which will be in charge of the « EUKN National Focal Point – Luxembourg » and the « URBACT Contact Point ».
g) Participation in the application for and carrying through of ESPON research projects and transnational ECP activities financed under the ESPON programme.
Requirements:
- Having acquired several years of experience in the EU spatial development context (e.g. ESPON or INTERREG projects, DG Regio, cross-border development agencies, specialized research centers) including project management skills;
- Have a profound understanding of European spatial development/planning policies;
- Be fluent in English and French (written and spoken); a good knowledge of German or Luxembourgish will be considered as an advantage;
- Have very good communication and presentation skills;
- Have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in spatial planning, human geography or related fields;
- An entrepreneurial motivation and experience in application for and management of research would be considered as an advantage.
As mentioned above the ECP Luxembourg will have the possibility to apply for funding of additional activities financed under the ESPON 2013 programme which will also depend on the motivation and engagement of the candidate. Pending on the success in acquiring projects under the ESPON 2013 programme the possibility may arise to complement this advertised part time position by additional tasks up to a full time position.
